MAJA FERNQVIST has an extensive background in advertising. She has worked for some of the top creative agencies in the world, most recently as a Creative Director at the celebrated agency Droga5 New York. 

Maja has created work that the industry has recognized with multiple recognitions such as Cannes Lions, Clios, AD&D, BTAA and the One Show awards.

With 15 years of making commercials in the advertising industry, collaborating with A-list directors, actors, DPs and editors Maja gained a lot of film experience over the years which naturally led to her own Directing career. With her strong conceptual and visual background as a creative, Maja has truly developed her own voice and unique sensibility for the world of film and storytelling as a Director.  

Amongst Maja’s film work you will find music videos, art films, and short films selected by film festivals. Early in Maja’s Directing career, she got selected to direct the short film “Consumed”, a Lionsgate sponsored project featuring characters from the “Twilight Saga Universe”. The film premiered on FB and had over 3 million views and over 130 000 likes in just the first 2 weeks. She was also selected by National Geographic to create a short film promoting the TV-Series “Genius”. The film resulted in several nominations and awards. Among her most recent work there are brand films, commercials and interesting collaborations.

Maja is currently working on commercial projects as well as shorter and longer format narrative. She is represented by goodstoryfilms NYC - goodstoryfilmsnyc.com & Tobago Films Paris for the European market.
